A group of European leaders will join a meeting between Donald Trump and Volodymyr Zelenskyy in Washington.

European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen said he would join the talks “at the request of President Zelenskyy”, adding that he “and other European leaders” will meet in the White House on Monday.

Also regulated to join is Sir Keir Starmer, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, Emmanuel Macron from France, Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, Secretary General NATO Mark Rutte and Finland President Alexander Stubb.

They were determined to discuss the potential of a ceasefire with Russia and mineral agreements between Ukraine and the US, but their meeting went down into chaos When Vance scolded the leader of Ukraine Because it is not enough to be grateful for our help – in front of the media.

He completed his ambush from Zelenskyy by mocking him because he did not wear a suit, with Trump added that Ukraine did not “have a card now with us”.

The disaster meeting ended with Zelenskyy before it was time to leave the White House. He then said the destruction was “not good for both sides”.

At the US-Russia Summit on Friday, Trump (literally) launched a red carpet for Putin and even let the Russian leader rise with him in the presidential limousine nicknamed the beast.

Zelenskyy is set for a less warm welcome, without a red carpet or flying past, without applause, according to Sky News’ Correspondent as Martha Kelner.

The atmosphere might be more business with European leaders such as Mr Stubb in the corner of Zelenskyy, and their inclusion as a mediator can help prevent repetition of Oval office clashes.
