To associate Nigeria proved to be too strong for Cameroon Sunday, fueling a 101-92 victory in the final clash of group B on the Frobasket in Luanda, Angola.

The result kept Nigeria in the group stage after previous victories on Madagascar and in office for the Tunisia champions, sealing the first place and an automatic ticket for the quarter -finals.

It was a game of two half: D’Tigers scored the first quarter of 28-27, then exploded in the second with a 32-16 race. On the third, they had built a huge advantage of 31 points, thanks to the extraordinary performance of Caleb Agada and Christian Mekowulu.

Cameroon reacted with a blitz 37 points late in the fourth quarter, but the damage had already been done while Nigeria resisted for a convincing victory of 101-92.

With the momentum firmly on their side, D’Acs will now take a pause of two days before hitting the field again in the quarterfinals on Wednesday.
