The police saved three kidnapped children, arrested the suspect in Kaduna

The police operation in Kaduna had saved three children who were kidnapped and arrested three suspects in the state.

Spokesman for the State Police Command, Mansir Hassan, confirmed the incident in a statement on Tuesday in Kaduna.

Hassan said: “The kidnapped victims were rescued in Calabar Road by Sabon Layi, Kurmin Mashi, Kaduna North Government Area on Tuesday.”

“On Tuesday, around 3 pm, a troubled report was submitted by a father that his three children – Aslam Umar Lukman (14), Suleiman Umar Tanko (12), and Aliyu Umar Tanko (10), were kidnapped on Monday at around 1:35 pm with kidnappers demanding balsom money ₦ 50 million.

“After receiving the report, the command operations, through the collection of strategic intelligence and tactical communication, captivated one of the suspects, Richard Philip, Kingpin, from their hiding place, and finally and he was arrested.

“During the interrogation, the suspect claimed to have committed a crime and revealed that he conspired with Ibrahim Ma’aruf (18) and Abubakar Sadiq (15) to kidnap the children and hide them at his residence.

“Acting based on credible intelligence, the police quickly stormed the location, arrested the culprit, and rescued the three victims without injury.

“Children who have been saved since then reunited with their families by the Police Commissioner (CP), Mr. Muhammad Rabiu.”
