LG Polls: APC congratulates the rivers for the party victory

Abuja (Reporter Core) The ALL PROGRESSIVES CONGRESS (APC) greeted the good people of the State of the rivers for their overwhelming support for the elections of the local government on Saturday, while the party won in 20 of the 23 seats of presidency contested throughout the state.

APC said that victory is another unmistakable indication of a strong trust of people in the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, led by APC, and his leading agenda of hope has renewed hope to continue to provide transformative and oriented governance to people at all levels in our country.

“We praise our leaders, members and supporters of the party for having worked assiduously for this important victory.

“Our appreciation also goes to the independent electoral commission of the State of Rivers (RSIEC) and the safety agencies to guarantee a peaceful, transparent and without hitting election.

“We urge the newly elected officials of the local government to work even more to offer significant governance results for the common good of all.

“Our large party categorically rejects the incendiary and highly irresponsible accusations of foul thrown by the former vice -president Atiku Abubakar on the elections of the local government of the State Rivers.”

APC said that Atiku’s drawing is nothing more than a curtain of smoke intended to distract the public from another miserable no-show record of his African democratic congress (ADC) and an attempt to feed the tension and conflict on the elections of the local government of the rivers.

“We trust that the rivers rejected Atiku’s incitement to conflicts and instability as a little wise consultant of an abandoned serial presidential contender.

“Once again, our abundant gratitude remains with the electorate of the state of the rivers for their esteemed support. Together, we will build a stronger and more united state of rivers that works for the good of all.”
