Naseni, Nidcom partner to guide the innovations of the diaspora …

The National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (Nasens) and the Nigerian Commission in Diaspora (Nidcom) are working closely to explore new ways of building innovations and technology, using the skills and skills of the Nigerians who live in the diaspora, as well as those at home.

The Vice -President/Executive CEO, Nasens, Khalil Suleiman Halilu and President/CEO, Nidcom, Hon. During a strategic meeting at the Nidcom headquarters, Abike Dabiri-Eowa described this collaboration as a “timely intervention”, observing that it will help connect the local innovators of Nigeria with scientists, engineers, technologists and entrepreneurs in the diaspora.

Halilu highlighted the key projects of Nasens, including Revolut, a payment platform that already serves thousands of Nigerians with low -cost real -time transfers; The Innovation Hub and Incubation program, which finances Nigerian scientists and innovators, both at home and in the diaspora; and Delta-2, a partnership with the Czech Republic that enters its third phase this September to bring new technologies and international collaboration to Nigeria.

Halilu said that his visit to Nidcom was to present two key projects: a payment platform supported by the government, similar to revolut, designed to be seamless, flexible, multi-value and to provide real-time monitoring at affordable rates, while the second project aims to grow the Nigerians in the diaspora, in particular in science, in technology, in the company and in the company He was heard, to develop practical projects that can grow the economy.

While he praised Dabiri-Erewa, the CEO of Naseni added that the database of Nidcom professionals would play an essential role for this course.

He said that the partnership will promote the opportunities for Nigerians around the world to work together for the progress of Nigeria; Through the sharing of ideas, skills and experiences that can help build a stronger and more innovative Nigeria, in particular in the context of the renewed agenda of the hope of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Dabiri-Erewa praised the work carried out by the agency. He assured that the Commission will provide them with the relevant support necessary, at the same time suggesting to the Naseni team to participate in the eighth investment of the Nigeria diaspora (NDIS), which will be held from 11 to 13 November 2025 in Abuja.

Both Nidcom and Naseni have also agreed to establish a joint work committee to simplify the collaboration areas and design projects focused on science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM), together with the wider involvement of the diaspora.
