The African Democratic Congress (ADC) rejected the relationships by claiming that a high federal court of Abuja retained the former president of the Senate David Mark and the former Governor of the State of the OSUN, Rauf Aregbesola, to parade as the party leader.
Thursday the secretary of the national party advertising, Bolaji Abdullahi, described publications as false news aimed at disadvantaged the public.
The clarification followed an ex -part motion presented on September 2 by Nafiu Bala Gombe, trying to prevent the national work committee led by Mark from acting as the party leadership.
The cause listed the ADC, David Mark, Rauf Aregbesola, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INC) and the Cape Ralph Nwosu as defendants.
Abdullahi explained that the Court, chaired by judge Emeka Nwite, rejected the ex part request on September 4, directing instead that the defendants were notified.
The case was subsequently updated to September 15 for hearing.
A certified sentence signed by the judge Nwite and confirmed by the Chancellor of the Court, Kasope Kafayat Bola, has shown that the motion of the plaintiff was refused, the defendants had to be notified and the matter was updated for further proceedings.
“Contrary to misleading relationships, the Court did not prevent Senator David Mark and Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola from Senator from working as national president and national secretary of the ADC.
“The order was simply that the defendants were notified and seemed to show the cause,” clarified Abdullahi.
Recall that the former national president, the leader Ralph Nwosu, dissolved the NWC in July and approved a provisional leadership led by David Mark. In its meeting of the 99th Executive National (NEC) Committee in Abuja, the ADC formally delivered the leadership for Mark and Aregbesola, with a political committee of 50 members inaugurated to review the party manifesto.
Since then Iner has updated the official registers of the party, recognizing Mark as national president, Aregbesola as national secretary, Manibrahim Mani as national treasurer, Akibu Dalhatu as a national financial secretary and Prof. Oserheimeno Osunbor as a national legal consultant.
The ADC has accused the “political joibber” of having tormented the sentence to create confusion after the recognition of the ink of the new leadership.
“Having not managed to prevent the insec from recognizing the change of leadership in the AdC, these destabilization agents are now resorting to misrepresenting the judgments of the court to sow the confusion”, reads the note.
The party warned against disinformation and urged the journalists and the public to check the judgments of the court before spreading.
