FG moves to eliminate drugs of drugs, launches a digital inventory model for essential medicines

Abuja (basic reporter) The Federal Government has revealed a new model of digitized inventory shipments aimed at facing persistent challenges in the offer and economic accessibility of essential medicines in federal and national hospitals.

Speaking to the commitment of the parties interested in Abuja, the permanent secretary of the federal ministry of health and social well -being, Daju Kachollom MNI, said that his main objective was discussing the recently introduced digital inventory shipping model for the Federal Government of the Federal Government.

Dr. Salaudeen Jimh Mni, director of the Department of Hospital Services, Federal Ministry for Health and Social Wellness, said that the digitized initiative is designed to ensure economic accessibility, strengthen the provision of the service and close the gaps in the supply chain.

He observed that the digital system would not only reduce the cost of essential medicines, but would also improve the availability at national level. “Once you enter this partnership, it will surely be better for all Nigerians. The goal is to strengthen the provision of services, introduce a digitized shipping model for essential medicines and promote the collaboration of the interested parties,” said Dr. Jimh.

Speaking on behalf of the director, of the Department of Food and Drug Services; Pharmacist Yakubu James said the department’s commitment against the commitment of the interested parties; Ensure that it is in line with the national strategy for the management of the supply chain of essential drugs.

The president of the Chief Medical Directors Committee (CMDS), Prof. Eme Bassey, praised the initiative. He highlighted the challenges of the management of existing hospital stocks, inventories of dynamic drugs and the urgent needs of patients who may not tolerate long supply times. “We have to ask ourselves what happens to drugs urgently requested when the processes require days. Transparency is fundamental, but we must also face realities on the ground,” he warned.
