Commander ndlea found dead in the hotel

The commander of the Cross River State of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Morrison Ogbonna, was found Thursday morning found dead in a hotel in Calabar.

The commander was found dead by his officers who had come to take him for a planned assignment.

A source that begged anonymity said: “This is what happened this morning. Some officers were in the hotel where she slept to take it, but when they didn’t hear him, they went to his room.

“It was knocking without success that attracted the attention of the hotel management who opened his room and found him dead.”

According to the source, the commander was transferred only in August to Cross River to replace Rachel Umebual.

The State Police Command also confirmed the report of death.

The spokesman for the command, SP Irene Ugbo-Obase, said: “I can confirm that it is true, but what has led to death is what I cannot say promptly”.
