The story was made again in the Federal Fire Brigade since ACGF OKIDI IJEOMA has been elevated to the degree of General Deputy Controller of the Fire, becoming the first woman in the history of the service to reach the position.

Okidi Ijeoma has constantly broken barriers in his career. It was the first female service controller of the service, the first general assistant of the general controller, and has now reached another milestone as the first female general deputy controller.

His leadership and his contributions remain well remembered in the states of Imo and Abia, where he left significant inheritance. Described as “an esther” in his service, he redefined the operations at Fedfire Owerri and gave command a new image.

Friends, colleagues and supporters have attributed his ascent to the grace of God, underlining that his journey was marked by faith, resilience and service to humanity.

While he assumes his new role, many prayed for God to grant his wisdom, strength and vision to support the general controller of the fire in lifting the service at greater heights.
