The presidential candidate of the Labor Party in the 2023 general election, Peter Obi, has reacted to the First Lady Nigeria, the request of Senator Oluremi Tinubu to Nigerians on his birthday.
Mrs. Tinubu Baru -Newly asked anyone who wanted to celebrate his 64th birthday with a prize or newspaper advertisement channeling such movements to the resolution of the National Library in Abuja.
However, the request did not match the former Governor of the State Anambra, who noted that the country did not need to wait for a birthday prize before completing its national library.
In a post distributed at his X grip on Sunday night, Obi expressed his disappointment at the request of the First Lady and regretted that millions of dollars were wasted on the trip, jet and cruise ships while Nigeria would now wait for the best providers to contribute to his birthday before completing national assets.
In a post entitled: “We have finished,” Obi, who also celebrated the First Lady on his birthday, however, punished him because he knew the value of education but still prioritized arrogance.

“We’re finished!”
“I joined millions of Nigerians in hoping that His Majesty, Mrs. Oluremi Tinubu, Happy Birthday. May God Almighty, who has been with him for many years, gave him more healthier, useful and happy years.
“However, I was shocked by the irony of reading his request: that instead of cakes or newspapers advertisements, sympathizers must contribute to complete the national library in Abuja. On the surface, it is noble and selfless. But underneath lies the indictment of our nation.
“I remember that, as the Governor of the State of Anambra, I also urged that the money intended for advertising was channeled to be a meaningful cause – computing for schools and class blocks.
“Such a movement was never intended to replace the government’s duties but to complete it. The state is still responsible for providing these important things.
“That is why surprising that, in our current situation, while billions are easily found for jet, cruise ships, unused houses, endless trips abroad, and other fronuity, the state must rely on birthday contributions to complete their own national libraries.
“What kind of country should ask for deeds to build a very knowledge temple?
“Countries that seriously treat the library as sacred; but here we reduce it to be an afterthought, ask for a bowl, or a birthday token.
“Mrs. Tinubu is true: Education is the most eternal heritage that can be given by the nation that can be given to its people. Not yet knowing this truth and still prioritizing the pride is shocking and tragic.
“If Nigeria will rise, it will not be in a jet or splendor of luxury homes, but on the power of the mind formed in the classroom and maintained in the library. Until then, the inferior remains really – we are finished.”
