Kwara Football Academy (KFA) has successfully completed the record of 33 players for the 2025/2026 season of the Nigeria Youth League Cup. The team includes 3 goalkeepers, 8 defenders, 10 midfielders and 11 strikers, all clear before the registration deadline on Saturday, September 28 established by the organizers of the League.
Dragons will compete at the South-West conference this season, with the campaign starting on Tuesday, September 30, 2025. Its opening accessory will be a draw against Eagle Stars FC of Ikorodu at the Stars Stars Stadium, Ikenne, the state of Ogun.
Last season, KFA appeared at the Northern Conference, where they ended fifth at the end of the regular season. The change to the southwest zone presents a new challenge for young dragons.
Speaking about the preparation of the team, coach Sam Elijah, technical director of the Academy, expressed confidence in the preparation of the team. He stressed that the Nigeria Youth League Cup offers one of the best platforms to grow young players, highlighting the exhibition available through Wyscout.
“We are prepared for the season. The league gives our boys the opportunity to develop and be explored. I think they will show their talent and make us proud,” Elijah said.
