Omisore Join Osun Governorship Race

A chief of the Congress of all Progressive Congress (APC), Senator Iyiola Omisore, has officially announced his intention to compete for the 2026 Governor Election in Osun state.

Omisore, a former deputy governor of the state, announced in a statement posted on the official X account (previously Twitter) on Saturday.

He said the formal declaration ceremony would be held on October 7 at the APC Secretariat in OGO-OLUWA, Osogbo.

Omisore wrote: “Beloved people from the State of Osun, after a deep reflection and broad consultation, I have decided to officially declare my intention to compete for the Governor of the State Osun in 2026 under our major party, the Congress of All Progressive (APC).”
