NAF destroys illegal refinery in Delta

The Air Component of Operation Delta Safe has destroyed several oil refinery sites in Etche Local Government Area of ​​Rivers State.

The Director of Public Relations and Information of the Nigerian Air Force (NAF), Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, disclosed this in a statement, Friday in Abuja.

Ejodame said the airstrike, carried out on October 7, was a follow-up to credible intelligence that revealed the location of an active oil refinery hidden in dense forest near Owaza.

According to him, the aircraft crew struck targets precisely, neutralized illegal operations, and stopped the processing of stolen crude oil.

Ejodame said the mission was part of ongoing efforts to curb economic sabotage and environmental degradation in the Niger Delta.

.“The Nigerian Air Force remains committed to carrying out its constitutional mandate to defend the territorial integrity of Nigeria and support other security agencies in curbing criminal activities,” he said.
