”Leave my children out of your troubles,” Actress Iyabo Ojo replied to Baba Ijesha

Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo has warned her colleague, Olanrewaju Omiyimika alias Baba Ijesha, over comments he made about her children in an interview with the media.

The controversy followed claims by the comic actor that Ojo had, at some point, abandoned his children in his care when they were young.

Responding to the statement shared on Sunday, the actress said she doesn’t mind if she tells her side of the story but warned against bringing her children into the narrative.

“This is a notice to stop using my children as cheap bait. This is not going to work,” he said.

Ojo further explained that his children were always supervised, both by their caregivers and their late mother, while emphasizing that they were never left alone.

“At my former place of business in Ilupeju, I had a lot of staff, including stylists, sales representatives and interns, so it was unlikely that I would be the one doing the work. I could send workers if needed,” he said.

He urged the actor not to mislead the public with what he described as false claims involving his children.

Ojo also rejected Baba Ijesha’s assertion that she was his “product”, and clarified that she was just his senior colleague in the industry and nothing more.

“You are a senior colleague, nothing more than that,” he said.

“However, the 14-year-old girl is still a minor, and sexual abuse is never okay. It is a crime. You must show remorse. The court found you guilty based on the evidence, so please do not drag my children into this. Stop mentioning their names, or I will direct my counsel to serve you the appropriate papers,” the actress warned.
