Iwobi Sr. confirms it: the robbery story is an absolute lie

Alex Iwobi’s father has exclusively confirmed to SCORENigeria that the Super Eagles star’s London home was robbed at knifepoint, as widely reported.

SCORENigeria first reported that Iwobi was one of the early risers at the Super Eagles camp in Antalya, Turkey, ahead of friendlies against World Cup-bound Iran and Jordan, and that he also dismissed the robbery story as “fake news.”

Journalist Colin Udoh reported on X: “I just spoke to Chuka Iwobi and he says there is absolutely no truth to the reports that his son @alexiwobi was stolen.

His words: “Alex is fine and there was no attempted robbery at his house. This morning he left for Türkiye to prepare for the friendlies.

“It is so annoying that a person can spread such a falsehood with just a few clicks.

“I have been inundated with calls and inquiries with good wishes and have spent unnecessary time explaining that this is a made-up story.”
