Head coach Bright Ozegbagbe has praised his team’s resilience and mentality following Ikorodu City FC’s dramatic 4-3 victory over Warri Wolves FC in the matchday 32 clash of the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL).

The vibrant match, held at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena on Sunday, March 29, 2026, scored seven goals in a duel from start to finish that showed the offensive quality of both sides.

Reacting after the match, Ozegbagbe took to social media to celebrate his team’s performance, highlighting their determination and conviction:

“Conclusive victory in the arena. Eye-catching performance. Strong mentality. Clear intention.

Faith remains alive, until the end, until the final whistle. ” wrote Ozegbagbe.

Ikorodu City got off to a fast start, with Abayomi Ayodeji scoring twice (8′, 42′) to set the tone. Joseph Arumala added another in the 24th minute, while Tosin Oyedokun scored in the 54th minute to complete the home team’s tally.

Warri Wolves responded through C. Orji (26′) and a double from I. Evwierhurhoma (penalty 52′, 90′), but fell short in a closely contested draw.

Arumala’s goal proved significant as the striker tied for the NPFL top scorers with 11 goals this season, further underlining his importance to Ikorodu City’s campaign.

The victory marks Ikorodu City’s 14th win of the season and lifts them to third place with 52 points, keeping them firmly in contention for a continental qualification spot behind leaders Rivers United and second-placed Enugu Rangers with 55 and 54 points respectively.

Meanwhile, Warri Wolves remain in 13th place with 40 points as they continue their push to finish stronger in the league.

Ikorodu City’s energetic display and late-game composure reflect an increasingly confident team, something their coach believes could prove decisive as the season nears its climax.
