Hormuz shutdown: Trump tells nations: fight for yourselves, go get your own oil – THIS END

By Ayo Kehinde

US President Donald Trump has urged countries affected by fuel shortages linked to disruptions in the Strait of Hormuz to take full responsibility for their own energy security, declaring that the US will no longer act as a guarantor of global fuel stability.

In a strongly worded message posted on his Truth Social platform, Trump addressed nations facing jet fuel shortages, including key U.S. allies, advising them to buy oil directly from the United States or secure supply routes independently.

“All those countries that can’t get jet fuel because of the Strait of Hormuz… like the UK, which refused to get involved… I have a suggestion for you: Number 1, buy from the US, we have plenty of it,” he said.

He further escalated his remarks, urging affected nations to take a more forceful approach to securing access to critical energy routes.

“Number 2, be brave, go to the Strait and GET IT,” he added.

Trump stressed that the era of US intervention in such crises is over, insisting that countries must now learn to act independently to protect their strategic interests.

“You will have to start learning to fight for yourself, the United States will no longer be there to help you, just like you were not there for us,” he said.

He further stated that Iran’s military and strategic capabilities have been significantly weakened, stating: “Iran has been, essentially, decimated. The hard part is done.”

The remarks come as concerns grow over global energy security following disruptions in the Strait of Hormuz, one of the world’s most critical maritime chokepoints for the transportation of oil and gas, where tensions continue to threaten supply stability and international market confidence.

Trump concluded his message with a blunt directive that has since sparked global debate: “

Go get your oil!
