Adamu, Izamoje Popoola, Awogu Thump Up Sportsville Award!

It was praise after praise on Friday night at the sixth Sportsville Awards that took center stage in Lagos.

Dignitaries who were on site to witness the ceremony described the award as a masterpiece in planning and execution.

Former WAFU President and CAF Executive Member, Dr. Amos Adamu, described the event as world class.

He said: “Honestly, I haven’t seen this world-class awards ceremony in recent times.

“Honestly, I am excited about what Frank Ilaboya and his team put together, it was a great show and I congratulate them very much.”

In his own assessment, Dr Izamoje, who presided over the ceremony, said he was proud of the spectacle. “I congratulate the excellent performance of your team, it demonstrates adequate planning on your part. Keep up the good work,” added the president of Brila Group.

For the NOC sctibe, Tunde Popoola, “the Sportsville Award is getting bigger year on year. I am happy with the progress they are making. I can see a lot of improvements and technical quality in their output and this is quite commendable. I am happy not to have missed this gathering of the best minds in Nigerian sport.”

The Managing Director of SuperSports Nigeria, High Chief Felix Awogu, has this to say. “This is a very commendable outing from all points of view. The selection of awardees and the award presentation ceremony are quite commendable. Regards to you and your team.”

More praise was shared by Charles Anazodo, Deji Omotoyinbo and Yomi Opakunle, who described the outing as a great moment in Nigerian sports.

They all praised the award ceremony, saying it represents the creativity Nigerian sports journalists are known for.

More than 18 personalities were honored at the ceremony, which was the sixth in the series.
