Manchester City left the Premier League title race open yesterday with a thrilling 2-1 victory over Arsenal at the Etihad Stadium and moved to within three points of the leaders thanks to Erling Haaland’s second-half winner. During a frenetic first half, Kai Havertz charged down Gianluigi Donnarumma’s shot to equalize for Arsenal just 107 seconds after Rayan Cherki scored a stunning solo goal to open the scoring. Both teams had chances in the second half, with Eberechi Eze and Gabriel hitting the post for Arsenal and Haaland also finding the post before the Norwegian striker’s 65th-minute winner.
