The All Progressives Congress has announced a revised schedule and updated schedule of activities for the 2027 general election, made adjustments to its internal processes, including screening, primaries, and appeals, and disclosed official bank accounts for the purchase of Expressions of Interest and Nomination forms.
The latest notification, issued on Monday from the party’s National Secretariat at Buhari House in Abuja, was signed by the National Organizing Secretary, Sulaiman Muhammad Argungu, and confirmed separately by the National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka.
The party stated, “In accordance with the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria (as amended), the 2026 Election Law, and the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Revised 2027 Election Schedule and Activities, the All Progressives Congress (APC) hereby releases the revised Electoral Activities Schedule and Schedule.”
Based on the revised plan, the sale of nomination forms is scheduled to take place from April 25 to May 2, 2026, while the deadline for submitting completed forms has been set at May 4, 2026.
Candidate screening will be carried out from May 6 to May 9 2026, including contestants for the House of Representatives, House of Representatives, Senate, governorship and presidential candidates in stages.
The party added, “Screening appeals: State House of Assembly and House of Representatives — Tuesday, 12 to Wednesday, May 13, 2026.”

Primary elections will begin on May 15, 2026, starting with the House of Representatives, and will continue through the Senate, State House, gubernatorial, and presidential elections, ending on May 23, 2026.
Additionally, APC released the pricing structure for its nomination process.
It states, “House of Assembly – N1,000,000 (Expression of Interest) and N5,000,000 (Nomination). House of Representatives – N1,000,000 and N9,000,000. Senate – N3,000,000 and N17,000,000. Governorate – N10,000,000 and N40,000,000 President — N30,000,000 and N70,000,000.
“Female candidates, youth and physically challenged candidates must pay an Expression of Interest and 50 percent of the Nomination fee specified for each position.”
The party also directed candidates to remit payments strictly through designated accounts, stating, “All payments must be made in full directly to the designated bank accounts of the All Progressives Congress (APC) as follows: Union Bank Plc — 0239691733; UBA Plc — 1025098328; Zenith Bank Plc — 1014008105.”
The revised schedule is carried out in line with political parties’ increased preparations ahead of the 2027 elections, by aligning their activities with constitutional requirements, the 2026 Election Law, and guidelines issued by the Independent National Election Commission. The APC noted that these adjustments are intended to simplify internal processes and improve coordination across national primaries.
