Nigeria senior national team coach Eric Chelle has invited a total of 27 players to the Nigerian national team for the upcoming Unity Cup friendly tournament in London, reports OwnGoalNigeria.com.
As we exclusively revealed last week, there is a first-time invite for Sweden’s AIK winger Zadok Abu Yohanna, who has been a revelation so far this season.
There is also a first-time call-up for Millwall winger Femi Azeez, as we exclusively revealed a few weeks ago. The duo headline the list of new players which includes Plymouth’s Owen Oseni and Wrexham’s Arthur Okonkwo, in addition to the seven players selected from Nigerian Premier Football League (NPFL) teams.
Chelle also called up the duo of Ebenezer Akinsamiro from Pisa of the Italian Serie A and Tochukwu Nnadi from Marseille of the French Ligue 1. There is also a full invitation for Rafiu Durosinmi, who plays for Pisa, who are relegated from Serie A, as we reported.
Terem Moffi also returns to the team. The same goes for Samson Tijjani, who last played with the team in 2020.
