2027: Tinubu to receive APC flag, certificate of return on Sunday – THISAGE

President Bola Tinubu will on Sunday receive the Certificate of Return and the flag of the All Progressives Congress (APC) as the presidential candidate for the 2027 elections.

The presentation will take place in Abuja, following the nationwide collation of the results of the party’s presidential primary elections.

Presidential Spokesperson, Bayo Onanuga, on Saturday said the APC Presidential Primary Election Committee will formally present the party certificate and flag to the President at the event.

APC governors, members of the National Executive Committee (NEC), National Working Committee (NWC), members of the National Assembly and other supporters of the party are expected to attend the ceremony scheduled for the Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Conference Centre.

Meanwhile, the President secured 99.9% of the votes cast by members in the party’s presidential primaries held in the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory, FCT on Saturday. Significantly, he defeated his only challenger, Chief Stanley Usifo in his Ovia Local Government ward of Edo State by 1,023 votes to 1. Indeed in the result announced by the Election Coordination and Returning Officer, Governor Monday Okpebholo, Tinubu polled a total of 131,096 votes in the primaries held across the 192 wards of Edo State on Saturday. Stanley Osifo, secured only 1 vote in all wards of Edo State.
