South East SWAN congratulates Rangers on their ninth title triumph

The Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN) South East Zone has congratulated Rangers International FC Enugu for winning their ninth Nigeria Premier Football League title in the history of Nigerian football.

The association praised the Flying Antelopes for their resilience, determination and consistency throughout the season, despite stiff competition and challenges from other clubs that competed in the championship.

In a statement jointly signed by the South East Zone Vice President, Ikemefuna Asika, and Zonal Secretary, Kennedy Onwunali, the association described the championship triumph as a reward for hard work, discipline and proper planning on the part of the club.

They commended the club management led by lawyer Amobi Ezeaku, together with the technical crew led by coach Fidelis Ilechukwu and the players, for their collective efforts in ensuring a successful campaign that ultimately produced the league title.

The association also called on the Enugu State Government to increase its support for the team ahead of next season, stressing that Rangers International will represent Nigeria in the CAF Champions League.

According to the statement, adequate support and preparation would enable the club to make the nation proud on the continental stage.

They wished the team success in its future endeavors and urged the players and officials to remain focused as ambassadors of Nigerian football.
