Focus Forward: AGGSOGA Retains Role of “Tireless President” After Transformative Mandate

From solar-powered computer labs to WASSCE support for 40 students and redevelopment of school grounds, the outgoing AGGSOGA administration under the presidency of Olusolape Ajibola has set a new standard. The association now looks forward with its leadership at the helm.

To travel the next four years of continuous achievement with her will be the following co-elected officers.

Abimbola Oshikoya – Vice President, Bolaji Ololade – General Secretary, Grace Majoyegbe – Assistant General Secretary, Joy Oji – Treasurer, Olukemi Kalejaye – Welfare Officer, Laide Omosebi- Social Secretary, Ajoke Aregbesola- Assistant Social Secretary, Dupe Olaoye-Osinkolu – Publicity Secretary and Aderayo Fatoki – Internal Auditor.

Apart from the physical projects, the outgoing administration has secured the legal future of AGGSOGA by registering the association with the Corporate Affairs Commission, Nigeria, and also recovering one hectare of encroached school land.

In a landmark move for the heritage, AGGS was also returned to the Anglican Communion, reconnecting the 70-year-old school to its founding roots. “It wasn’t just about buildings,” President Ajibola said. “It was about legally protecting the institution and restoring the soul of the school, while providing the tools to thrive for the next generation.

President Ajibola also spearheaded the digital upgrade of AGGSOGA’s election process from analog to virtual, welcoming members across the globe. The move broadened participation, improved transparency and ensured accountability. The association’s first virtual election took place peacefully and was a huge success.
