Margibi County, June 16, 2026 — The 13th Judicial Circuit Court for Margibi County has ordered the management of the Robert International Airport (RIA) to produce shipping waybills, closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage, and all other documents related to a $19.2 million drug seizure by the Liberia Drug Enforcement Agency (LDEA). The order was issued through a writ of subpoena duces tecum.
The writ, dated June 12, 2026, was requested by the LDEA to assist its ongoing investigation into the case.
According to the writ, the RIA management has been ordered to appear before the court on June 22, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. to present the requested documents and CCTV footage.
The materials relate to incidents occurring on May 22 and June 5, 6, 7, and 8, 2026, involving boxes believed to contain cocaine discovered at the airport.
