2027 Elections: Adamawa PDP Presents Certificate of Return to Assembly Candidates

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Adamawa State, loyal to the caretaker committee led by Lawyer Tanimu Turaki, has issued certificates of return and INEC Form EC 13 and Form EC 9 obtained from INEC Headquarters to all 25 House of Assembly candidates of the parties in various constituencies.

Presenting the certificate on Friday in Yola, the Adamawa State PDP Acting Chairman, Elmond Dogo, congratulated the candidates for their success in the primaries and urged them to work assiduously with other party stakeholders in their various constituencies to win the general elections.

He noted that the CENI portal has been opened for political parties to submit names and details of their candidates for various elective positions.

He further denied any crisis or faction within the party as believed in some quarters, stressing that the PDP is a family led by the interim committee led by Tanimu Turaki.

According to him, INEC only recognized the excos led by Tanimu Turaki as authentic national leaders of the party, hence the decision to hand over INEC forms and return certificates to them for later distribution to their candidates to fill.

The President further expressed optimism that the party will win the elections and take control of the state in 2027 due to the overwhelming support it enjoyed across the state, especially at the grassroots level as witnessed during the recent local government elections in the state where the party won all the 21 local governments and 226 constituencies in the state.

Most of the candidates interviewed commended the excos of the party at both state and national levels for their tireless efforts and steadfast commitment to saving and rebuilding the party, assuring their loyalty and willingness to work with them and other stakeholders of the party to bring Nigeria and Adamawa back to the PDP.

They also assured that they will revive the party and win the state House of Assembly elections, calling on the people of Adamawa State and Nigerians to rally around the PDP to save the country from APC misrule in 2027.
