Kumuyi preaches unity, prayer, love amid Nigeria’s security challenges

Pastor William Folorunso Kumuyi, Coordinator of Global Crusade with Kumuyi (GCK), and Founder and General Superintendent of Deeper Christian Life Ministry on Tuesday urged Nigerians not to lose hope despite the country’s economic and security challenges, saying faith in God remains the surest path to lasting peace.

Kumuyi made the remarks on Tuesday during a courtesy visit to the Benue State Government ahead of the six-day global crusade with Kumuyi holding in Gboko and Otukpo.

He said concern about insecurity should not degenerate into despair or a culture of blame.

According to him, lasting solutions to Nigeria’s challenges will come through humility, prayer and genuine repentance before God.

He appealed to Nigerians to embrace love, unity and forgiveness instead of conflict and division.

Kumuyi said the campaign was designed to spread a message of hope from Benue to the rest of Nigeria and the world.

He expressed confidence that God will answer the prayers of the people and restore peace and stability in the nation.

Representing Governor Hyacinth Alia, the state Deputy Governor Samuel Ode welcomed Pastor Kumuyi and described his visit as timely, assuring him of the full support of the state government and explaining that the governor was attending an emergency meeting of the Nigerian Governors Forum with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in Abuja.

Ode praised Kumuyi as a globally respected preacher whose ministry has transformed millions of lives, expressing confidence that the crusade would promote peace, strengthen families and inspire youth, urging residents to participate and pray for lasting unity, security and development in Benue and Nigeria.
