RESPECT! Father, mother, four children “all lawyers” (Read the 35-year legal odyssey)

ONLY GOD COULD WRITE THIS STORY.

Thirty-five years ago, in 1991, by the grace of God, I was called to the Nigerian Bar Association.

While attending Nigerian Law School, I met an exceptional young man who shared the same passion for the law. According to God’s perfect plan, he was called to the Nigerian Bar Association in 1992. That young man became my husband, my life partner and my greatest supporter.

When we began our journey together as husband and wife, we never imagined that God would bless us in such an amazing way. We had dreams for our future, but we could never have predicted that the Lord would bless us with four wonderful children – two girls and two boys – all of whom would follow the same path into the legal profession.

As they grew up, they embraced the values of hard work, integrity, faith and service that we tried to instill in them. One by one, each answered the call to this noble profession.

Oduah

Today, our hearts overflow with gratitude that each of our children have been called to the Nigerian Bar Association and are now practicing law.

Looking back over these 35 years, I can only marvel at God’s faithfulness. What started with one lawyer in 1991, and then two with my husband’s Call to the Bar in 1992, has become a family of six lawyers – both parents and all four children – practicing law.

This is not our achievement; it is evidence of God’s grace, faithfulness, and abundant mercy. We are humbled by this unusual blessing and give Him all the glory.

As we celebrate our beloved son, Barrister Daniel Oduah today on his call to the Nigerian Bar Association, our hearts are filled with thanksgiving. God has done more than we ever imagined when we began our life together.

To every parent: keep praying, keep believing, and keep investing in your children. God’s plans are always greater than ours and His faithfulness never wavers.

“Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us, to Him be the glory…” (Ephesians 3:20–21).

To God alone be all the glory. Amen.
