Turkish Super Lig champions Galatasaray have reached an agreement with Sky Bet Championship side Burnley for the signing of Nigerian-born midfielder Lesley Ugochukwu.
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano confirmed that the two clubs have finalized the deal and that the midfielder is now ready to complete the formalities before being presented by the Istanbul giants.
According to Romano, the transfer package is worth just under €30 million, making him one of Galatasaray’s biggest signings of the summer transfer window.
“Here we go, confirmed: Lesley Ugochukwu will sign his contract at Galatasaray shortly. Agreement worth less than 30 million euros from Burnley for the midfielder,” Romano published in X.

The 22-year-old joined Burnley from Chelsea last summer after signing a five-year contract following the Clarets’ return to the Premier League.
Despite arriving with high expectations, he now faces a new challenge in Türkiye after Galatasaray acted quickly to secure his services.
Ugochukwu spent the 2024/25 campaign on loan at Southampton, where he gained valuable Premier League experience before returning to Chelsea.
A product of the renowned Stade Rennais academy, Ugochukwu made his senior debut for the Ligue 1 side as a teenager and quickly established himself as one of France’s brightest young midfielders. His performances earned him a move to Chelsea in 2023.
Ugochukwu is expected to bring strength, athleticism and composure to Okan Buruk’s team as Galatasaray prepares to defend its domestic title and compete in the UEFA Champions League next season.
