Oyebamiji promises uniform distribution of dividends across Osun

The governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State, Bola Oyebamiji, has vowed to ensure equitable distribution of democracy dividends if elected governor in the August 15 governorship election.

He pledged not to prioritize one local government over another, in contrast to the current administration of Ademola Adeleke.

Speaking at the Obokun/Oriade Federal Constituency rally held at Ibokun and Ijebu-Jesa Market Square, on Friday, Oyebamiji said he aimed to “turn around” the economy of Osun through mechanized farming.

His plan, he said, was to pursue aggressive modern agriculture in farming communities, “make farming easy, attractive and productive, and connect farming communities to markets by building rural roads and rehabilitating existing ones.”

In Ijebu-Jesa, Oyebamiji pledged to “get rid of nepotism” and ensure that all parties in Osun benefit from good governance.

“On our journey to this area, we have seen the level of neglect of public schools, primary health centers and road infrastructure.

“If elected governor, I will ensure the rehabilitation of schools and primary healthcare institutions and hire qualified teachers and health workers to expand access to quality healthcare services and education for our children,” Oyebamiji said.

During a visit to the Ogboni of IbokunOba Festus Adegboro, and the Egboro of Ijebu-JesaOba Moses Agunsoye, as well as other traditional rulers, Oyebamiji received blessings and prayers for his ambition.
