Delta Governorship Election 2027: NYCN Supports Eshor

The National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) on Saturday in Abuja endorsed the governorship aspiration of Engineer Isaac Eshor, a Marine Engineer of Delta Government House, 2027.

At a press conference hosted by the body with the governorship aspirant present in Abuja, the group noted that its support for Engr Eshor was because he is a youth-friendly person who believes that any situation affecting the nation affects the youth; therefore, the group is concerned about who occupies the position.

In his remarks, NYCN National President, Comrade Isah Babangida Onimisi, said for Delta: “We are here to present the product that has identified with the youth. We are representing a new realm of leadership capable of turning the ideals of our youth into productive use.

“Our endorsement is based on the careful conduct of a man committed to the people of Delta and Nigeria. We need a governor who understands how systems work and how jobs are created. We need leadership who creates a path for the leaders of tomorrow; therefore, I call on Delta youth to join forces and support a man who understands the technical expertise and enterprise directly linked to Delta State.”

He was of the opinion that the involvement of the NYCN in the aspirant’s gubernatorial ambition did not lead to any pecuniary gain.

For his part, the governorship candidate, Eng. Eshor, said that as a qualified marine engineer, he was passionate about turning the state’s comparative advantage into productive gains.

According to him, “Throughout my career, I have trained over 200 marine pilots and engineers. We want to make Delta a marine hall and marine economy because of the advantage our state has in the maritime sector. Under my watch, allocations to the state must not be wasted on godfathers who drain the state dry. The current administration has failed the people by reducing many Deltans to poverty, a situation unheard of in the history of the state.”

Engr Eshor is contesting the 2027 Delta gubernatorial elections on the platform of the Action African Congress (AAC).

He attended the press conference along with other national executive members of the party.

The NYCN was represented at the briefing by members from various parts of the country, as well as the national leadership led by Comrade Onimisi.
