Football icon and President of Enyimba FC, Ambassador Kanu Nwankwo (Papilo), has been appointed as the brand ambassador for the 2026 Adamawa Peace Cup.
The appointment was announced by the Governor of Adamawa State, in recognition of Kanu’s legendary status in world football, his outstanding contribution to youth empowerment through the Kanu Heart Foundation and his unwavering advocacy for peace and national unity.
The 2026 Peace Cup, scheduled to take place in Yola, seeks to foster peaceful coexistence, promote unity among diverse communities and discover the next generation of football talent in Adamawa and across Nigeria.
With Papilo as the face of the tournament, the Peace Cup is set to attract global attention.
