Four shot dead in Niger

The Niger State Police Command has confirmed the killing of four persons by unidentified gunmen in Godoro and Angwan-Bisala communities under Katako District of Rafi LGA.

Spokesperson for the command, SP Wasiu Abiodun, said the incident occurred on Wednesday, September 23.

Abiodun said two other people, injured in the attack, were taken to hospital for medical treatment.

According to him, gunmen attacked the two communities around 1.30am, killing four people and leaving two others seriously injured.

He added that police had visited the site of the attacks and that investigations into the incident had begun.
