Hours ago, I had the honor of representing my principal, mentor and benefactor, the Hon. Otunba Gbenga Elegbeleye, former Second Vice President of the Nigeria Football Federation, former President of the Nigeria Premier Football League, former Member of the House of Representatives and former Director General of the National Sports Commission to reward an exceptionally talented young Nigerian.
By the grace of Allah, I donated ₦150,000 to Fatee Yola, on her behalf, after a beautiful and heartfelt Hausa tribute she dedicated to him.
Deeply touched by his kind words and the joy it brought him, Hon. Otunba Gbenga Elegbeleye, in her usual spirit of generosity and compassion, instructed me to present the gift to her as a token of appreciation.
This is yet another reflection of his commitment to recognizing kindness, encouraging talent and extending a helping hand to those around him.
On behalf of the Hon. Otunba Gbenga Elegbeleye, I sincerely appreciate Fatee Yola for the beautiful gesture.
May Allah richly reward my principal for his generosity and kindness, continue to uplift him and bless him with more opportunities, success and a wonderful and highly blessed reward in the days to come. Amen.
Affectionately,
YUSUF MAITAMA
