Alex Iwobi and Calvin Bassey may get a new manager at Fulham in England in early November

The Nigerian duo of Alex Iwobi and Calvin Bassey could end up having a new coach as manager at England side Fulham early next month, reports Sports247.

Iwobi and Bassey are likely to play the remaining weeks of the current English Premier League season with a new manager because their current boss, Alvaro Arbeloa, is struggling for results.

Furthermore, surprising news for Iwobi and Bassey indicates that Arbeloa, 43, has already been given until the next international break to obtain better results and retain his position.

Despite Bassey reaching his personal best form as team captain and Iwobi making a good shift in midfield, the Cottagers are struggling in the EPL, putting pressure on Arbeloa, who replaced Marco Silva in the summer.

Unfortunately for Arbeloa, his days at Craven Cottage have been turbulent and similar to the chaotic months he spent as caretaker manager at Spanish side Real Madrid, suggesting he could say goodbye to Iwobi, Bassey and others next month.

A report from Tribal Football adds: “However, the appointment has not gone to plan with the west London club sitting bottom of the Premier League table with just two points from their first six games.

“Fulham were beaten by Ipswich over the weekend as the newly promoted side scored twice in the final four minutes of the match to secure a 2-1 win.

“Now, Fulham have given Arbeloa until the next international break to turn things around. That’s six games in all competitions, including a possible six relegation points against Coventry and Hull, before the break at the beginning of November.”

Sports247 further concluded that the big names already being chosen to take over for Iwobi, Bassey and their friends are former Tottenham Hotspur manager Thomas Frank and Kieran McKenna.
