NAFDAC uncovers fake labels, corks, packaging of imported alcoholic beverages at Aba market (Video)

The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) has exploded the supply source of labels, corks and bottle caps used to package counterfeit alcoholic beverages in Aba market, Abia State.

The agency’s operations targeted ingredients allegedly used in the production and packaging of counterfeit alcoholic beverages and sold to unsuspecting Nigerians.

Labels, stoppers and packaging are among popular and fast-selling products, which are produced to look like the originals sold on the open market.

This discovery raises serious concerns about the circulation of counterfeit drinks and the risks to public health.
