Peseiro Demands Salary Settlement Amidst Team Selection Controversy

In a recent development, Super Eagles coach, Jose Peseiro, expresses dissatisfaction with the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) and urges them to settle his overdue salary instead of interfering in team selection.

Sources reveal that Peseiro’s response comes in the wake of NFF Technical Committee Chairman, Shariff Ahlan, suggesting his removal from the coaching role due to a string of disappointing results.

According to NFF board member Nse Essien, Peseiro is yet to receive a pay since he signed contract extension in May 2023.

“You’re busy not paying me my allowances but quick to dictate my decisions,” retorts Peseiro to Ahlan, defending his squad list for upcoming matches.

The Portuguese has been under increasing pressure following the poor start to the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualification campaign.
