The 18-year-old Ding Xiao Jun who lives with his mother Ding Bi Yun has been admitted to a university in Beijing. However, as soon as he entered university, he is ridiculed by his classmates. Ding Xiao Jun starts to rebel until he gets a warning that he will no longer graduate. Luckily, his mother gets through to him in time for him to pull himself together and earn enough credits to graduate.
Ding Xiao Jun enters society full of passion and hope but is scammed and left to wander Japan as a bum for months. Beginning to understand all the hardships his mother went through for him, Xiao Jun manages to make a long-distance call to her in order to return home.
During New Year’s Eve of 2010, Ding Xiao Jun learns that he has landed a job in Beijing. What seemed like the perfect beginning to a new chapter in his life is met with the terrible news that will affect the two most important women in his life. Ding Bi Yun has been diagnosed with a terminal illness. Ding Xiao Jun is now faced with two choices?—to continue building his career in Beijing or to return home and stay with his mother during her final days…

Had me in tears I agree that this one of the best dramas I have seen in a long time has you think just how precious your time is and how you spend it with loved ones.

The best Drama I ever watched 😭😭
It is amazing. After watching the drama i called my mum to say i miss her. i wish there was something to take from US to Africa and see her. all i could do is to keep praying that i will see her when i take a leave from work. all i could is to keep sending money and calling her regularly. This drama is an eyeopener and a reminder for me. i pray all mothers should stay healthy and be happy.

I cried my eyes out in this episode cuz it was so relatable making me miss my mom. You know sometimes we think we have grown up and don't need our parents anymore and we forget that moment that they are getting older and that every moment is precious. We think that they will always be there but it hits you when you get an unwanted farwell. You start regretting and think of past memories and what you could have done what you could have changed and start to panic ones parents (especially ones mom) who have given you unconditional love, support and hard to get you to your point in life by Giving you a home with love, care, and happiness then they leave this world leaving you with a longing heart and very precious memories.
