Boko Haram kidnaps High Court judge, wife and two others in Borno.

A High Court judge, Justice Haruna Mshelia, his wife, driver and attendant were kidnapped by Boko Haram terrorists along the road from Biu to Maiduguri on Monday 24 June 2024. According to sources, Justice Mshelia who is working with the Borno State High Court in Maiduguri was traveling in his vehicle, accompanied by his driver, a security escort and his wife.

As they approached a bend on the road between Buratai and Buni-gari, a group of armed men emerged from the bush and barricaded the road. The judge’s vehicle attempted to force its way out.
