Six people were reportedly killed when gunmen attacked a police station in Ebonyi

Gunmen reportedly attacked Ishieke police station in Ebonyi State on Wednesday evening.

Eyewitnesses told reporters on Thursday that thugs stormed the facility at around 9pm with sophisticated weapons and forced residents to run to safety.

They added that six attackers were killed in a shootout with police officers.

However, the state police command had not confirmed the incident at the time of filing this report.
