The Olympic Games, which will begin on July 26 in France, will see the Nigerian team compete in several events.
Since their debut in Helsinki 1952, Nigerian athletes have participated in every edition of the Summer Olympic Games except the 1976 Montreal Games.
A total of 82 Nigerian athletes are scheduled to compete in at least 11 sports in 2024.
Itsekiri stressed the importance of the pre-Olympic camp to ensure athletes achieve focus, adjustment and a distraction-free environment.
βThe preparation is good. I feel like we havenβt had everything ready for these Olympics. There is a camp in Germany, Iβm not sure I can go because I havenβt got my accreditation, but Iβm supposed to be there this week,β Itsekiri said.
He added: βHopefully we can improve things and make a good run and leave a good impression in this tournament.β
