Abia State University Academic Calendar for the second semester, 2025/2026 academic session.

This is to allow all candidates to Abia State University (ABSU) is aware that the management of the institution has released the academic calendar for the second semester, academic session 2025/2026.

ABSU Academic Calendar

First semester

• Monday March 3 – New students arrive and registration begins (1 week).
• Saturday March 8 – Returning students resume and registrations begin.
• Monday March 10 – Classes begin.
• Friday March 14 – Orientation for new students.
• Friday April 11 – Registration ceremony for new students.
• Thursday April 17 – Monday April 21 – Easter holidays.
• Friday May 30 – End of courses (12 weeks).
• Tuesday June 3 – Start of revision (1 week).
• Friday June 6 – End of revision.
• Monday June 9 – Start of exams (3 weeks).
• Friday July 4 – End of exams.
• Saturday July 5 – Sunday July 20 – Half-year break (2 weeks).

Total duration – 17 weeks.

Second semester

• Monday July 21 – Resumption and registration (1 week).
• Monday July 28 – Start of courses (12 weeks).
• Friday October 17 – End of classes.
• Monday October 20 – The review begins.
• Friday October 24 – End of revision.
• Monday October 27 – Start of exams (2 weeks).
• Friday November 14 – End of exams.
• Saturday November 15 – End of the 2025/2026 session.

Total duration – 16 weeks.

Students of the University must pay their outstanding tuition fees and register their courses within the stipulated deadline approved by the Senate to avoid sanctions.
