AFCON Will be Hosted Whenever – Motsepe

The Africa Cup of Nations will continue without a specific calendar, CAF President, Patrice Motsepe has confirmed.
Motsepe insists the best decision will be made for the competition and in favor of Africa.

 

 

Speaking at a press conference on the eve of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, Motsepe vowed that the Continental governing body is committed to improve the quality of the game and its flagship competition.

“We are part of the global football family, but we also have a responsibility to make sure we show African football in its best light.

“This AFCON was supposed to hold last year, but it could have been washed out.”

“I want the AFCON to take place when it is the most favorable and the most convenient.”
