Anoh Gas MD encourages young people on STEM – Thage education

The CEO of Anoh Gas Processing Company (AGPC), Engr. Effeiong Okon has reaffirmed the company’s commitment to support the care of the next generation of innovators through science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM).

By delivering a message of goodwill to the sixth edition of the Mayen Aditiba Technical Boot Camp (Matbc), held at the Yaba College of Technology, Lagos, which was co-sponsored by AGPC under the auspices of the association of professional engineers of Nigeria (Apwen), Okon stressed that the event was all that concerns the students, encouraging the opportunities for the opportunities for the opportunities Emp.

He applauded initiatives that allow the girl to break the barriers in the profession of engineering.

Speaking on the theme of the Boot Camp, “Emerging Technology in Green Building and Efficiency for sustainable development”, the AGPC Hilmsman praised the pioneering female engineers present at the event, recognizing their pioneering contributions to the profession and their roles in the tutoring of the next generation.

By contacting the students, he said: “If you study hard and stay concentrated, you can overcome the results of today’s engineers. The world needs your ideas and energy to solve the many challenges we face”.

Okon highlighted the urgency to find technological solutions to climate change, underlining that the increase in global temperatures represents one of the greatest threats to humanity.

He challenged the students to think critically of sustainable energy solutions, adding that the gas remains a cleaner alternative to coal and that his adoption is essential to reduce carbon emissions and guarantee a healthier future.

As part of the activities of the training camp, the MD reminded students who would participate in an experiment to build a sunny house and powered by the wind, a practical demonstration of how renewable energy can be exploited in a sustainable way.

He also addressed the growing population of Nigeria, warning that the demand for energy and resources will continue to rise. He observed that the country must invest in innovative and renewable solutions to meet future needs responsibly.

Okon said: “Engineering concerns the resolution of complex problems. The future is in your hands. The world urgently needs younger to pursue careers in the STEM and I am particularly happy to see more young women enter engineering roles. The opportunities are enormous and although the journey may not be easy, perseverance will guarantee success”.

He encouraged students to take seriously the opportunity, ensuring that the future is bright for those who remain diligent and resistant. He expressed his prayers for their success and reiterated the support of AGPC to the initiatives that inspire and authorize young people to build a sustainable future.
