The People’s Action Party (APP) on Friday fielded four House of Representatives candidates in the primaries held in Lagos.
Elections were held in the Ojo, Oshodi-Isolo 2, Surulere 2 and Amuwo-Odofin federal constituencies.
and monitored by officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in the state.
In his remarks after the exercise, Chairman of the APP DPR Main Election Committee, Mr.Nobert Onwumelu,
said the party flag bearers emerged through a consensus agreement.

Onwumelu, following voting and confirmation by delegates in their respective constituencies, declared Folorunsho Adebayo (Ojo), Angela Okpalaniukwu (Oshodi-Isolo 2), Omotolani Osho (Amuwo-odofin) and Isaaq Kazeem (Surulere 2) as the party candidates.
He said the Election Law provides for direct primaries or consensus arrangements for the emergence of party candidates, adding that the APP adopted the latter.
He commended INEC officials for monitoring the primaries and ensuring compliance with election guidelines during the exercise.
The committee chairman urged party members to remain focused and united ahead of the elections, saying that cohesion within the party would strengthen their chances in the elections.
