Ayodeji is elated after winning the Ikorodu City Player of the Month award

Ikorodu City midfielder, Abayomi Ayodeji, has expressed his excitement after being named the club’s Player of the Month for April.

Ayodeji received the award before the start of Ikorodu City’s NPFL matchday 36 clash against Wikki Tourists and capped the special moment with a goal that marked the club’s 100th NPFL goal.

The midfielder, who scored his fourth league goal of the season in the match, described the achievement as a memorable milestone for both himself and the club.

After receiving the award, Ayodeji attributed the recognition to hard work and dedication throughout the campaign.

“I am very excited to score Ikorodu City’s 100th NPFL goal. This will help and motivate me in my career,” he said.

“Winning the Player of the Month award for April is something I worked hard for. It’s something I’ve been working for and I’m grateful to God that I was able to achieve it before the end of the season. I will also dedicate this award to my mother.”

The impressive midfielder has registered five goals and four assists in all competitions this season for Ikorodu City, underlining his importance to the team’s campaign.
