FC Barcelona are reportedly keeping a close watch on Nigerian midfielder, Wilfred Ndidi.

According to renowned Spanish sports daily Mundo Deportivo, Ndidi is on Barcelona’s transfer list, and the club could open negotiations for the Nigerian in January.

 

The Nigerian, who currently plays in the Championship with Leicester City, is enjoying a standout season under the guidance of Enzo Maresca.

The Italian manager has managed to transform him from a holding midfielder into a dynamic box-to-box player, with the Nigerian registering seven assists and two goals.

Wilfred Ndidi’s contract is set to expire at the end of the campaign and appeared to be ideal choice for Barcelona due to their financial woes.
