Dele Alli enjoyed Tottenham’s rare away win at Stamford Bridge as he mocked Chelsea legend John Terry.
Much-improved Spurs took a deserved 2-0 victory over their fierce London rivals on Saturday night, with Mike Penders scoring an unfortunate own goal on his full Premier League debut for the Blues before Mathys Tel sealed the victory with a superb late individual effort.
Cole Palmer was sent off for Chelsea between those goals, receiving two quick bookings for colliding with Mateus Fernandes and then making a poor challenge on Conor Gallagher.
It was certainly a night to remember for a resurgent Tottenham, who are celebrating just their second league win at Stamford Bridge in 36 years, as back-to-back top-flight wins kicked off their campaign and lifted them to 12th in the table, their highest league position since New Year’s Day.
According to Yahoo Sports, it wasn’t just the current Spurs players who reveled in the unexpected success in the capital, as Dele attended the match and sat next to former Blues captain Terry.

The former Tottenham midfielder kept fans entertained with his updates throughout the day via Instagram, posting a video of himself laughing as he trained the camera on a disappointed Terry, who shook his head after Penders’ unfortunate own goal.
Dele also filmed the score and Spurs’ celebrations at Stamford Bridge and then posted a photo of the empty seat next to him along with the caption: “Empty seat here now?”, tagging Terry in all of his posts.
He ended his Instagram Stories by posting a celebratory photo alongside former Tottenham midfielder Jermaine Jenas.
Dele spent seven years at Tottenham after arriving as an 18-year-old from MK Dons for £5million in 2015, scoring 67 goals and providing 59 assists in 269 total appearances in all competitions.
He also played for Everton, Besiktas and Como, earning 37 caps for England between 2015 and 2019 and playing in the 2018 World Cup.
