After the friendly, the Fulham FC defender explained that the match provided valuable playing time for several members of the team.

“Overall, it was a good outing for the team,” Bassey said.

According to the Super Eagles defender, some players had little time to train together properly before the match, but they still managed to put in a great performance.

“Some players didn’t have enough sessions together, but we still played well,” he hinted.

Bassey also highlighted the absence of several important players within the team, but praised the team for competing hard anyway.

“We were missing some key players, but the team still performed well,” he said.

The defender admitted that the recent goals conceded ended up affecting Nigeria’s chances of achieving victory against the Polish team.

“The late goals made it difficult for us to win,” he added.

Despite the result, Bassey stressed that the Super Eagles will continue to work hard to improve in key areas for future matches.

“We will continue to improve as a team,” he stressed.

Nigeria remains undefeated in regulation time under coach Eric Chelle as the team continues to adapt to new tactical ideas and player combinations.

“There are still many positive aspects to be taken advantage of,” say many football observers.

The Super Eagles continue to prepare for upcoming international matches with increasing competition across the team.

“The team is becoming more and more balanced and competitive,” fans continue to say.

For Calvin Bassey, the message is clear.

The game against Poland offered valuable lessons.

The team gave positive signs despite the absence of players.

And improvement remains the priority in the future.

Because strong teams continue to learn and evolve through difficult matches and challenges.
