The immediate ex-deputy governoring candidate for the Popular Democratic Party (PDP) in Cross River State, Dr. Emana Duke Ambrose-Amawhe, explained why he downloaded his former party for the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Speaking to a large reception party organized by the state chapter of the APC in Calabar, weekend, said the former PDP Strong Lady
The style of all-inclusive leadership of the governor Bassey Otu was the reason why he joined the party in power.
He added that within a few years in office, the governor has practically touched the life of almost all the cross rivers with his “First People agenda”.
βGovernor Otu touched our lives regardless of the affiliation, the creed, the tribe or the party religion. He is guiding investments and guarantees the safety of our lives and ownership throughout the state unlike before.
βI don’t say it for granted because as a farmer of the local government area of ββAkpabuyo, I know how things were in Akpabuyo before climbing on board.
“Today I can go freely in my agricultural land with peace of mind. People can now sleep with their two eyes closed in that area under the watch of the governor Bassey Otu,” he supported.
Ambrose -Mawhe praised Governor Otu to have united the strength with President Bola Tinubu to ensure that the renewed agenda of the hope of the president will be made.
On how he finally left the PDP, the Cum-Political broadcaster said: βWe decided that yesterday it went far and that today it would not have been too late, so we jumped on the train because the train was moving towards the right direction with the right person who led him.
“Once again, we didn’t want to be out of the team that makes things happen. When we joined, the party leaders told me that although my supporters and I fought the APC during the general elections of 2023 would have opened their door to us and we are there.”
